Process Introduction
Die casting, specifically high pressure die casting, is a precision casting method that employs high pressure to force molten metal into a die. Such a process is frequently used to create parts with complex shapes.
Our general development process for a new project is as follows:

Customer input:
Customer provides one or more of the following:
a.3D and/or 2D design
b.Sketch
c.Reference sample
d.Description

Meco Engineering Team Output
a. DFM analysis with design proposals
b. 3D model and 2D drawing; including tolerance definition, draft, radius recommendation for die casting
c. Mold flow analysis report (if needed)
d. Mechanical analysis report // strength check (if needed)
e. Fit clearance, gap, and interference check (3D)
f. Preliminary tooling layout presentation specifying location, size of gates, overflows, parting lines, and ejector pins; subsequent discussion with customer team

  • Die manufacturing: 30~40 days
  • Trial Process
  • a. Trial run on die casting machines
  • b. Document trial parameters
  • c. Share FAI (First Article Inspection) report with customers

  • Tooling Modification and Validation
  • a. Receive approval from customer on modifications; continue with validation process

●Mass Production
Secondary machining processes are subsequently applied as needed. We offer various surface finishing and assembly options in addition to die casting and secondary machining, as outlined below.

a.Powder coating and wet painting to any specified color per color code or sample/chip (provided by customer)
b.Electroplating – zinc, chrome, copper, nickel, tin, silver, gold
c.Anodizing
d.E-coating

Meco is dedicated in providing customers high quality OEM/ODM services, full quality control from product developing, to manufacturing, packaging and shipping, to satify customers' various purchasing needs.
